1. The Golden Rule: "Last On, First Off"

Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night.

  • Put it on last: Apply your lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, and makeup before wearing your jewelry. Chemicals in these products can dull the shine and damage the plating.
  • Take it off first: Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or sleeping.

2. Use Your Duarra Cleaning Cloth

  • Routine Polish: After each wear, use the cloth to gently wipe away skin oils, dust, or fingerprints.
  • Gentle Buffing: Use a soft, circular motion to buff the surface. Never use paper towels or tissues, as they can cause tiny scratches.
  • Pro Tip: Keep your cloth dry. It is specially treated to clean jewelry and does not need water or extra cleaning agents to work.

3. Avoid Moisture & Chemicals

  • Water: Keep your jewelry away from tap water, chlorinated pools, and salt water. Moisture is the leading cause of tarnish.
  • Sweat: Remove your pieces before high-intensity workouts. Sweat can react with metal alloys and cause the finish to fade prematurely.
  • Storage: When not in use, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. We recommend using the original Duarra box or an airtight pouch to prevent oxidation.

4. Special Care for Different Pieces

  • Rings & Bracelets: These experience the most "wear and tear." Be mindful when doing household chores or lifting heavy objects to avoid scratches or knocking stones loose.
  • Earrings & Necklaces: These stay shiny longer but are sensitive to hair products. Wipe the posts and chains regularly with your cleaning cloth.
